Share your skills: building a solidarity network for community gardens
Welcome to a skill sharing and collaborative learning event hosted by the emergent 'Solitariteitsnetwerk Buurttuinen' (Solidarity network community gardens). During this online event, we will exchange methods and skills involved in seeding and nourishing our peer-2-peer solidarity network.
Based on our experience giving community workshops, we analysed the biggest successes we had and the biggest challenges we face as community food growers in Amsterdam. We identified our most common challenges and came together in digital forums to generate further understanding and share successes as adaptable solutions. We make solidarity requests, invite allies to collaborate and we decided on collective learning quests of reflection and action.
This event also presents two texts that communicate our process: A Common Challenge Report (read that here) and a How to Guide for Seeding & Nourishing a P2P Solidarity Network (read that here). Then we open for Q&A. The later half of the event is one of collaborative learning where community food gardeners share their learning quests and invite constructive dialogue and solidarity from the participants.
