Transition Talks: Paths and pacts for a citizens transition to a good economy and caring society

These regenerative economies are not based on individualism and competition, but on mutualism, cooperation and community. The local is valued and it is not the big market players, but the citizens and governments who shape their cities together.
Interactions with the traditional political process is more and more complex, therefore there is the need for a co-construction of public policies to be promoted by civic groups / coalitions / networks in different territories of Europe and the need for a common learning process.
Territorial and trans-local cooperation is at the core of the transition to a "new" economy, networking in the territories and between territories; at the national level and between sectors; at the political, institutional, public level: to translate theory into practices and into policies; connecting with other alter-economic realities, extending the current spheres, acting as part of a plural international movement of transformative economies, building a pathway to lasting pacts and alliances.
There are many examples in Europe of post-capitalist transformative economies. For this event, the Solidarity Economy Europe network (ripess.eu) has invited some citizens-led initiatives from Italy, Portugal and Croatia that have been very active in raising the level of action to the political sphere, through local, trans-local and national community and coalition building.
